College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University

Oregon State University is a Land Grant, Sea Grant, and Space Grant university.  One of its premier colleges is the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS).   It is one of the leading oceanography and atmospheric sciences institutions in the nation.  Oregon State University is in Corvallis, Oregon.

The mission of COAS is to “increase knowledge and understanding about oceanic and atmospheric sciences to help Oregonians, the nation, and the world respond to the challenges of a dynamic and changing Earth system”.

More than 100 ocean scientists work at COAS.  They conduct research that leads to an increased understanding of the ocean and the atmosphere.

COAS offers interdisciplinary graduate education programs that include masters and doctorate degrees in chemical, biological and physical oceanography, atmospheric sciences, geophysics and marine geology, and marine resource management.
