You may want to bring in graph paper to help students draw their floor plans. Have them share their drawing and writing with the group.

Ask students to ask their spouses and/or children to draw their dream house as well. Were the students
surprised at what their families drew? Do you think all your family members would agree on the kind of house
to buy?

Draw a floor plan of your “dream home” below. Draw the number and location of the bedrooms you would like to have. Where would you put the kitchen and living room? What other features would it have? Describe what you have drawn in one or two paragraphs, below your plan.
