Talk about it!
Assign learners to groups and ask them to discuss how they would decide to buy a home and the factors that would influence that decision. Have them rank their preferences. Ask groups to report to the class.

Additional activity
Assign learners to groups and ask them to write and design a newspaper advertisement for a house or apartment. Some groups can take the seller’s view and write a “for sale” ad. Others can be potential buyers and write a want ad. This activity will prepare learners for the next lesson.
