When you review the use of for and since with the present perfect, mention that since is usually followed by a specific time in the past — since Monday or since last December. For shows the length of time of the action.

Example: They have worked at Electro Tech for three months.

Since shows the time that the action began.

Example: They have worked at Electro Tech since January.
