homeowners

1. Go over each item on this list.

2. Ask students to check off which items they already know about or have in their own home or apartment. Which local services do they already know about?

3. Brainstorm a list of things that could be written into the “other” category.

Extension activity
Divide students into pairs. Assign one partner to be the seller of the house and the other to be the new buyer. Ask the new buyer to role-play, asking the seller of the house the questions indicated on the checklist.
