If students are not yet ready to write about moving into their new home, they can talk or write about their priorities for purchases they would like to make to improve where they are living now.

Unit 4 : Lesson 2: Planning for monthly expenses in your new home

Thinking through writing Printer

When you move into a new home, there will be many things you will want to buy to make the house feel like your home. Most people cannot afford to buy everything they need
at first. They have to set priorities. Write two or three paragraphs about what would be your priorities when you move into your own home.

I would first buy draperies or venetian blinds for the windows for security and to make my home attractive. I would also buy new locks for the doors to help keep my family safe.

In addition, I would plant flowers and shrubbery in front of my house to add my own personal touch to my new home.
