• The Sweetwater State Literacy Regional Resource Center is located at the Adult and Continuing Education Division of the Sweetwater Union High School District. The Division is the fourth largest adult education program in the State of California, serving over 32,000 adult learners yearly.

  • The State Literacy Resource Center and its eight Regional Centers, under the National Literacy Act of 1991, are administered by the State Collaborative Literacy Council, a multi-agency collaborative of the following agencies:

    California Conservation Corps
    California Department of Corrections
    California Department of Education
    California State Library
    Chancellor's Office of the California Community Colleges
    Employment Development Department/JTPA
    Governor's Office of Child Development & Education
