Dear Adult School and Literacy Providers:
The Adult Learner Regional Conference on Saturday, May 3rd promises to be a very valuable experience for our students.
Planning a conference for adult learners is a leadership development process based on "learning by doing". All the decisions involved in putting on this conference will be made by the students. They will be key planners, workshop presenters, and on-site volunteers. Staff will provide (when appropriate) conference oversight and coordination, and clerical and logistics support.
Please ask your staff to post and distribute the information that our committee has put together. We are hoping that a representative from your agency will join un in making our first Regional Conference a real success for us all.

Dear Adult School and Literacy Providers:
The "Crossroads Cafe" Workshop held on January 31 in Merced was a real success!! As usual Lynn Savage was great. Participants went away with lots of great ideas to use in the classroom.
Unfortunately, not everyone that wanted to attend was able to come. Therefore, we are offering this workshop again. Clovis Adult School will host another "Crossroads Cafe" with Lynn Savage on February 28, 1997, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with lunch offered at Clovis Cafeteria).
