The SLRC Los Angeles Library provides resources, support and information to all educators, administrators, tutors and students who are working toward their credential in Adult Education. It serves The Greater Los Angeles Area (321 agencies, Community Adult Schools, Community Colleges, Community Based Organizations, Libraries, Skills Centers, and Regional Occupational Centers).
The following services are available:
- Teacher Training Materials (video workshops, etc.)
- Staff Development Books, Publications & Reports. Grant Writing Info.
- Resources for curriculum design (CASAS-matrixed materials, videos, cassette tapes, computer software, ESL and ABE materials, etc.)
- Family Literacy
- Organized workshops and presentations based on needs assessment
- Staff Development Institute Workshops
- Information on regional and state activities
- Access to WWW and (OTAN) Outreach Technical Assistance Network E-Mail System
- ESL, ABE, I.I. Lab, Classroom Observations
- ESL, VESL, ABE and Citizenship Books, Tapes and Videos
- REALIA
Reference materials are to be used in the Library.
All other materials are available for a 2 week check out period.
