Weather

Where's the Math?"In like a lion, out like a lamb" and "April showers bring May flowers" are just two common sayings relating to the changes of the weather. But does the weather really follow these sayings? Log onto one of the many weather sites and compare data for your city.

One site that provides many rich activities is www.weather.com, but there are many others to visit, such as www.rainorshine.com or www.intellicast.com . The site used for these activities, www.weather.com is provided by The Weather Channel. Its data can be customized by zip code and includes forecasts, maps, averages and records, highlights, and activities. It offers an immediate benefit for teachers and students (who don’t want to get wet coming to class!), as well as reinforcement of many skills such as percent, proportions, averages, patterns, and map reading.
