Theresa Kathleen "Kathy" Lucero-Ragland is presently employed as a GED/ABE Instructor at the Southwest Board of Cooperative Services Adult Education Center and teaches secondarily in an Even Start Family Literacy Program. In this capacity she uses a wholistic teaching style. She creatively interweaves her skill as a Certified LAROSA Parenting Instructor, Youth Minister, and mother into her teaching. She is a graduate of Mesa State College and has actively worked in youth programs for the last seventeen years. She also acts as a substitute teacher for the Dolores School System. Among some of her duties she has worked as a coach and computer teacher.
Kathy has two children who were raised in a bicultural home. She comes from a Hispanic, two-parent family. Being raised in a Hispanic family combined with the diversity of the area in which she lives has given her a unique ability and outlook.
