| Young babies can see. They can see bright
colors and black and white things best. They like to look at people.
They will look into the eyes of the person holding them. Babies will
look at a face 8 to 12 inches from their eyes. At about 6 weeks they
will smile at faces. |
Place a black and white picture of a face
on the side of the crib. Put an unbreakable mirror on the wall at
floor level. Then your baby can sit in an infant seat and look at
himself. Smile and say Ah-boo as you lean toward your
baby. Gently bump your head to your baby's. |
