Characteristics Things to do
Five year olds are ready for “hands on math.” They don't understand numbers and shapes on paper too well yet. They can sort and group like things into sets. They can make and copy patterns with blocks. They can point to things as they count out loud. Science experiments and cooking with your child is a fun way to learn about math and science.
