numbers. They need to see and touch things to understand what numbers

Cut the top off an empty egg carton. Write
the numbers 1-12 in the cups with the marking pen. Give your child
buttons, beans, or macaroni to count out each number from 1-12 into
the cups.
When you read a new story to your child, ask
him to predict the ending. You can guess an ending, too. Finish the
story to see what happens. Remember: There are no wrong guesses. |
