Birth to 6 Months

This is how I grow:
Your baby is a thinking, feeling being. Although most of baby’s time is spent sleeping, eating and getting diapered, your baby does learn. Use these times to play, cuddle, and teach your baby what it means to be alive.

This is how I learn:
Newborns are sensitive to touch. Touch is like a language to babies. Skin contact and warmth help babies to learn and grow. Basic trust happens when babies learn that their needs will be met. (When a baby learns that he will be fed, held, and cleaned when he needs to be, he will learn trust.) This trust grows into a feeling of security, which grows into the confidence to try new things. It doesn’t spoil a baby when you pick him up when he cries. If you don’t pick your baby up when he cries, it may cause him stress. Taking care of your baby’s needs will not spoil him.
