Objectives: Given Internet-based resources for information, the learner will be able to:

  1. Collect information about temperature and weather forecasts
  2. Read and summarize information
  3. Relate information read to maps and charts
  4. Relate changes in temperature to physical land structures
  5. Apply information learned to new situations
  6. Become familiar with exploring Internet-based resources

Description of Activity:

Learners are given links to websites that contain information about temperature and weather forecasts for cities in Oregon. Using these resources, learners can explore several weather situations, and complete a series of activities. These activities are intended for learners in an individualized or a group setting. The learner will utilize reading skills, data comparison skills, and comprehension skills. It is recommended that the learner print out a copy of the activity sheet, to use as a helpful guide and for data collection.
