Daily JournalSeptember 10, 2004A group of Oregon adult education instructors were in Newport, Oregon for an Instructor Institute. We all were able to tour the R/V Wecoma. We saw the scientists' cabins, the galley (kitchen), the laboratories, and other working areas. We also visited the bridge, where the ship's officers steer the vessel and control the operations of the ship. Here you see Susan Starr and Annie Thorp, the two teachers on this cruise, meeting Captain Dan Arnsdorf on the bridge of R/V Wecoma.
