Project Highlights

We are particularly proud of the work we do with immigrant families living on a ranch in Pacifica. A Project Read learner identified this site as a perfect match for Learning Wheels because it is in an isolated area, without many needed services, such as ESL classes or bilingual library services. We visit the ranch with our Project Read learner weekly to provide family literacy and informal ESL instruction. Because of their isolation and round-the-clock work schedules, these families would not be learning English and how to help their children succeed in school.
