Northwest
LINCS Site Launched!
The
newest Regional Technology Center, Northwest LINCS, has just been
launched. Consisting of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington,
Wyoming, and Utah, which were formerly part of the Western/Pacific
region, Northwest LINCS will now be coordinating Web sites for
its partners and affiliates. Congratulations to Linda Eckert and
the Northwest Regional Literacy Resource Center, who are heading

Position
Announcement: Arkansas Adult Learning Resource Center Director
Primary Function:
To plan, develop and administer all activities performed by the
Arkansas Adult Learning Resource Center (AALRC).
Specific Responsibilities:
- Submit and manage
all AALRC budgets.
- Supervise AALRC
staff.
- Serve on the Arkansas
Adult Education Advisory Council.
- Serve on other state
or national committees as assigned.
- Prepare reports
as required.
- Attend and conduct
workshops, conferences, and meetings as required.
- Provide assistance
and support to the Arkansas Department of Workforce Education,
Adult Education Section, and the Arkansas Literacy Councils,
Inc.
- Schedule meetings
and maintain interaction with the AALRC Advisory Committee.
- Perform other duties
as assigned.
- Responsible to the
Deputy Director, Arkansas Department of Workforce Education
for job performance.
Minimum requirements:
- Graduate degree
in education (Doctorate Preferred);
- 3 years of experience
in management within adult education/literacy or related field;
- Demonstrated ability
of excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to participate
effectively in work-groups on national and state levels;
- Ability to incorporate
principles of lifelong learning.
Salary: Negotiable,
commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(Contracted on a yearly
basis contingent upon funding from the Arkansas Department of
Workforce Education and external grants)
