Lesson 1: This apartment is too small!

Rosa and Manuel Castillo came to the United States five years ago. They have three young children. Manuel’s mother wants to live with them too. Their apartment is too small for six of them. Rosa wants to buy a home in a neighborhood close to their friends. Their friends bought a house two months ago. If they decide to buy a home, they will have to borrow money. Manuel is not sure that this is a good idea. He does not like to owe money to anyone. In addition, he is afraid that no one will lend him money. Can you help him decide?
