My Town “Dos
Aguas”

Dos Aguas (means two waters) and it is the name of a
beautiful and unique place in the whole world.
Every morning I was awoken by the harmonious singing
of beautiful birds of different kinds, and colors. Almost
every morning I got up 10 minutes before my regular
schedule just to go to the window, and watch the birds
happily jump from one tree to another. I really enjoyed
every morning when I opened the window to let the fresh
air into my room, and some times it was raining and the
smell of the wet soil use to get into my room and I loved
the aroma of it.
I will mention other of the reasons of why I think Dos
Aguas is a special place. As I was growing up I use to
think that every single person in the town was my
relative. I felt this way because everybody care for each
other. In addition, Dos Aguas was such a small town where
everybody was very happy and we all got along very well,
we were like a big family.
In Dos Aguas all the houses were built by a Sew Mill
Company owned by very generous people. The Sew Mill
company was the only source of employment in Dos Aguas.
However, the owners provided free to all their employees
the following: Water, Electricity, Medical Care,
Education, Postal Service, and Housing. When the company
hired new employees they immediately built a new house
for the new employee according to the size of his/her
family. In addition, at the end of every year (around
Christmas) the company gave out excellent bonus to all
its employees. Who could ask for anything else!
The town of Dos Aguas was located up on the Mountains
of the Sierra Mother, and it was surrounded by giant
trees. The visitors cannot see town until they had
arrived because it was hidden in the mountains. Dos Aguas
looks like a picture of a famous paint artist. Have you
ever seen a beautiful art paint that give you a sense of
peace and tranquillity in your heart when you see it?
Well, that is exactly how I use to feel went to one of
the vista points contemplate Dos Aguas. I use to expend
hours daydreaming at the vista point. It was quiet,
peaceful, and nice to see the whole town from up there,
all the houses painted with nice and cheerful colors. The
Church was in the middle of the plaza. The church's
priest use to provide a service every Sunday evening. The
teenagers use to go to that particular service and after
the service, they use to go to the plaza to meet with
friends and school buddies to have fun. What I liked most
about Dos Aguas was that there was no crime, and no
drugs. Therefore, all the kids grew up happy and healthy.
Now I live in California, and I am a proud parent of a
beautiful two-year-old boy, and I want the best of life
for him. I will do anything I can to rise my son healthy,
and happy as the kids that grew up in Dos Aguas. I feel
an enormous satisfaction to know that most of the kids my
age range that grew up in Dos Aguas turned out to be
wonderful citizens thanks to the atmosphere created by
the citizens of Dos Aguas, which in my opinion is a
unique and special place.
I am looking forward to take my son to visit this
unique place called Dos Aguas.
