My Mother-in-Law
By Kyung Mi Ito
Three years ago my mother died. Instead of my mother,
one of the most important persons in my life is my
mother-in-law.
She is a good person to me. She is seventy-one years
old, but her way of thinking is very young.
She always dressed up. I like such a mother. Her
specialty is Japanese calligraphy that we'll call
"shodo." She enjoys it with her friends. I have always
had special relationship with the mother-in-law.
When I visit her house, she always makes some food for
me.
When I have a problem in my life, I send FAX to her,
and she helps me how to solve the problem.
I'm very lucky to have such a mother. She is important
in my life.
