I have been in California for 20 years. It wasn't easy
for me to learn English but I tried myself very hard. I
went to adult education classes at different times. Today
I'm more interested in learning.
I came to Project Read to improve my writing and
reading and have a better opportunity in the future.
Project Read is helping me to be more involved in
reading and writing English. I have read several
books-on-tapes from the library that helped me to
understand especially the pronunciation which has been a
major problem for me. Now I'm able to read newspapers,
magazines and short stories. This is teaching me new
words and vocabulary.
I read A Christmas Carol, Wind in the
Willows, Phoebe's Diary, The Little Indian
Weaver, and Phoebe the Spy.
Project Read has been a wonderful experience in my
life. I'm really happy with my improvement. Thanks
Project Read and Thank you to my wonderful teacher.
