Well, Look at Me Now!
By E.W.
The Project Read Tutors have made a meaningful and
caring contribution to my life, through the long hours
and hard work. I have improved in my reading and writing
skills. I have read several books that helped me
understand African-American History, such as the
Autobiography of Frederick Douglass, and The
Heart is a Lonely Hunter, by Carson McCullers. I have
also read several poems like: "Naughty Boy," by Robert
Creely; "A Supermarket in California," by Allen Ginsburg;
and "Me Again," by Kenneth Rexroth.
The writing assignments have helped me at my job as a
Nurse Assistant, doing reports, work evaluations, and
school applications.
I can interpret better books, newspapers, and
magazines. I have broadened my knowledge of life and
African-American History.
