Andy Nash has fifteen years of experience in staff, program, and resource development in adult ESOL. For the past three years she has been the Civic Participation Coordinator at the New England Literacy Resource Center (NELRC). In that capacity she compiled and edited the "Civic Participation and Community Action Sourcebook," available in full text on NELRC's web page, and supports teachers in developing projects that help students understand U.S. systems and have a voice in the decisions that affect them. Andy is also on the national staff of NIFL's Equipped for the Future (EFF) project. She has taught in ESOL, family literacy, and worker education settings, is the author of several ESOL curriculum guides, and is a former adjunct professor in the graduate Bilingual/ESOL Studies department at the University of Massachusetts/Boston.
