Collection Developer
Tom Mueller has been the ESL Coordinator at Laubach Literacy Action for 15 years. He has an MA in TESL from the University of Texas at Austin as well as an MA in Speech Communication (Audiology) from the SUNY-Buffalo. Mueller has conducted numerous workshops and consulted with local literacy programs around the United States to train volunteer ESL tutors/teachers and tutor trainers and improve the ESL services of local programs. He is the developer of ESL Training by Design, produced by New Readers Press/Laubach Literacy Action. Mueller is also the primary author of Teaching Adults: An ESL Resource Book, one of the components of the Training by Design program. Mueller currently serves on the NCLE (National Clearinghouse for ESL Literacy Education) Advisory Board.
