Citizenship and Immigration
Information
The
Immigration Portal
The Immigration Portal has a directory of lawyers. You
can download free immigration forms and subscribe to a free daily
or weekly immigration update. There are links to information about
various parts of the immigration process.
Immigration
Resource Site
This site is an extensive collection of immigration self-help resources
and references. It lists on-line services, organizations, and immigration
lawyers and consultants. This is not a general site for learning
about immigration issues; it is a useful resource for those who
have particular immigration questions or problems.
Naturalization
Self Test
This multiple choice practice test is created by the Immigration
and Naturalization Service (INS).
US Citizenship Test
This ten-question practice test is based on the official test administered by the USCIS. The computer randomly selects a different set of questions every time you take the test. The multiple-choice format allows you to choose an answer and get your score as you go along.
Welcome to the United States: A Guide for New Immigrants
An official government site of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly INS), this site offers accurate, up-to-date information for teachers, program administrators, and others who work with newly naturalized immigrants.
Though the title suggests immigrants themselves as the intended audience, the text-dense format is more appropriate for adults with a high level of literacy. Watch for forthcoming editions in a variety of other languages.
