This is the general outline of the story "Grand Canyon Crowding"

I. The Grand Canyon is becoming crowded.

A. The Grand Canyon is a popular tourist site.
B. People visit the park in cars, buses, and motorcycles.
C. People fly over the canyon in airplanes and helicopters
D. Over five million people visit the Grand Canyon each year.

II. The Grand Canyon National Park has a plan to eliminate cars from the area along the South Rim.

A. Most visitors now come to the South Rim and they come in cars.
B. There are not enough parking places for these cars.
C. There are plans for a light rail train loop in the South Rim area of the park.

III. The popularity of the park is threatening its condition.

A. The visitors to the South Rim use a lot of water.
B. This water is needed by plants and animals.
C. The water comes from streams on the side of the rim.
D. The water supply is limited.

IV. There are other ideas about limiting the human impact on the park.

A. The park administration might require advance reservations in order to visit the park.
B. There is a higher admission fee people must pay to come into the park.
