Shared Poetry Writing
April is National Poetry Month. Some learners may find the idea of writing a poem intimidating. Writing a poem together, however, may open new doors of discussion, learning, and connection.
This could take a variety of formats:
- Take turns writing lines.
- Write the full poem together, each contributing as ideas come.
- Create a collage of a poem. Take words or lines from an article, story, or magazine. See what they create.
- Take turns adding words.
