Great Books –
Reviews by learners for learners
Learners in the
Readers to Leaders Project of Write to Read, the Alameda County Library Adult
Literacy Program, have created an online collection of book reviews. The
reviews were written by learners for learners.
The collection may
be downloaded from the web site, or visitors may choose to download individual
reviews. Titles in the review collection include Life is So Good by George Dawson and Richard
Glaubman, Stealing Home: the Story
of Jackie Robinson by Barry Denenberg, Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman, and Rosa Parks: My Story by Rosa Parks with Jim Haskins. The
books vary in difficulty from level 1 to level 4.
