Tutor Tip of the Month: Visiting a Museum -- Virtually!

You and your learner may not be able to travel to Paris or explore the Mayan ruins together, but you can still take a trip thanks to the vast resources available online. Many web sites for museums and historical attractions even have learning materials and resources for you to use in addition to photos of their collections and exhibits.

Together, you can learn about a subject of interest, follow-up the visit with some writing and reading activities and share what you learn with other students and tutors in the program.

Here are a few to check out.

The Diego Rivera Museum
A library of links to museums worldwide
The Guggenheim
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco
The Louvre (Paris)

As you know, there’s a site for everyone and for every interest on the Internet!
