Letters can often
look different when seen in different kinds of type. To help a beginning
learner recognize letters presented in different ways, select examples
of different styles. Cut and paste them on the same piece of paper.
Make separate sheets for each letter your student is having trouble
recognizing. As a lesson, learners can do this activity on their own
and familiarize themselves with the alphabet.
Where can you find
different font types?
- Newspaper ads
- Magazine headlines
- "Junk"
mail
- Childrens
books
- and everywhere
you look!
