To become a more effective listener, try these tips:
- Concentrate on the speaker
- Maintain eye contact as much as possible
- Listen to the content of what is being said
- "Listen" to body language
- Try not to interrupt
- Listen for the things that are not said
- Keep an open mind
- Watch your own body language. Is it open and receptive?
