- Take a field trip
to the market and explore nutritional labels and item markers.
- When you are reading
the newspaper, keep a list of recurring words that it would be useful
for a learner to learn and integrate the words into your lessons.
- Encourage your
learner to bring questions from workplace and community experiences
to discuss.
- Find out what interests
your learner and build lessons around it. One tutor and learner made
a workbook about Egypt together using colored pens and Egyptian art.
This not only builds skills, it also brings the joy of creation!
