Like working with kids?

Volunteer to help 1st through 5th graders with homework in our Mini-Learning Center, Monday through Wednesday from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, 3-4:30 p.m. No training required for Mini-Learning Center Volunteers. To learn more, please call (510) 881-7775.

 

About Literacy Plus:
The main goal of Literacy Plus is to provide for our learners’ emerging literacy needs through goal-directed, learner-centered tutoring. In addition we:

• Support family learning through our Families for Literacy program and our Mini-Learning Center.
  
  
• Support the learning efforts of all participants by providing the best possible training for volunteer tutors.
  
  
• Help empower learners so they may accomplish their goals and realize their dreams.
