The America Reads Challenge in Region IX is being met through a variety of public/private initiatives and partnerships. The purpose of this website is to improve communication and share information that adds value to our combined efforts.
Region IX of the U.S. Department of Education consists of the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada and the Pacific islands of America Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, the Marshall Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands, and Palau.
This Website has been created and is being maintained through a joint effort between Region IX of the U.S. Department of Education, the Region IV Hub Literacy Network Project of the National Institute for Literacy, and the State Literacy Resource Center of California.
