
The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development supervises adult basic education for 19 programs across the state of Alaska. Local conditions vary greatly, but programs share responsibility for serving those most in need of adult basic education and literacy to enable them to function effectively and become self-sufficient citizens in, rather than clients of, our society.
